Trip Pictures!!

At long last, I have finally uploaded some pictures from my trip. This is by no means all of the pictures I took (500 or so), but a selection of (I hope) the best ones of the batch. Under the cut lies Paris, Cape Town and many, many animals of varying shapes and sizes. There's even a picture of me! Petting a cheetah! Dial up users beware!

The Sacre Coeur. My sister liked this picture because of the wee bird seen flying in it. Very artsy.

An apartment in Montmarte where I will one day live. Don't laugh, it'll happen.

Part of the ceiling in one of the rooms in Versailles. I have tons more pictures of the inside of Versailles, all the artwork and such, if anybody is interested.

The Arc de Triomphe. I also have many more pictures of this.

The Moulin Rouge

The Eiffel Tower...I went all the way up, but
Bianca was too chicken

The Musee D'Orsay...which we went to because the Louvre was closed *shakes fist* but it was still lovely

Now we are in South Africa, witness the gumboot dancers.

Mountains in the Cape....ohhh...ahhhh

We saw this sign that said "Feeding of the baboons is prohibited" and we laughed and laughed. Then we saw a whole troop of baboons.

Cape Point, AKA the Cape of Good Hope, the southernmost point of Africa, where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet...ohhh

Looking the other way from Cape Point.

Straight down from Cape Point.

Table Mountain and Cape Town proper.

Cloudy Mountain

Table Mountain again. Taken on the ferry to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela spent some of his imprisonment.

The Leper Graveyard on Robben Island, which is what it was used for before it became a prison.

Where Walter Sisulu was kept during his imprisonment.

The Limestone quarry where Nelson Mandela and other prisoners worked during their imprisonment.

The meal card which said the amount of food each race received.

A courtyard in the prison, which, in the corner of, Nelson Mandela kept his manuscript.

The penguins of Robben Island *harts*

Kinda blurry, but the Malay quarter of Cape Town, where slaves used to live.

KUDU!! She is very cute! At the Old Mill, a place where we stayed that had tame animals.

The entrance to the Cango caves, a massive series of limestone caves.

A little mark type thing on the ceiling of one of the caves.

A spire, where a stalagmite and stalactite grew towards one another.

Cango Caves

More of the Caves

Caves again

Hatching baby Ostrich! At an ostrich farm.

Baaaaaaaaby Ostriches

Baby Ostrich

Erm...some type of lizards...they had snazzy blue tongues! These are at a zoo type place.

Meercat!

These are either crocodiles or alligators (I think crocodiles though)

Baaaaaaaaaaaaby cheetah!

A pile of baaaaaaaaaaaaby cheetahs!

Not so baby cheetahs.

Aslan

One of Aslan's girlfriends

Bengal Tiger

One of the cheetahs that, if you paid 80 rand, you could pet. We chose to pet the baby cheetahs though.

see? It was nice and all the funds go to the cheetah conservation fund.

Now for the Kruger Park. This, I am told, is some sort of wild turkey. They enjoyed walking in front of cars and making people wait for them.

Giraffe!!

Zebra!

Rhino!!

MONKEY!!! They were all over the camp we stayed in!

Kudu in the wild.

Elephant with one tusk.

Same elephant. This look is so "What the hell do you want?"

Erm, I kinda know what the Afrikaans name for these are, but not how to spell it.

Impalas! There were tons of these little guys all over the park.

A baboon contemplating the meaning of life.

Elephant crossing the street.

MINKEY!!!!!!

MINKEY AGAIN!!! (I love monkey's...can you tell?)

Hip...hip hop...hip hop anonamous?

Mom and baby elephant crossing the road.

Giraffe getting a snack

Lions!! They were far, so the picture quality isn't that great.

Buffalo! These guys are odd looking things.

This is from a place called LeSedie Village (which was on the Amazing Race I think) which showcases 5 different tribes in South Africa.

And that's my trip to South Africa!! If you want to see anymore pictures of a specific subject let me know!
